“ I absolutely adore Pam’s Exotic Jerk Hut in Dockside. It’s my go-to on the weeks I don’t have my children and don’t want to cook, and it never disappoints. The food is proper Caribbean comfort food — full of flavour, cooked with care, and there’s always a great range of choices available. I’ve never turned up and felt like I was scraping the barrel; there’s always plenty to choose from. I’ll be honest — I don't really buy Caribbean food in Kent, I always used to pick it up on my way back from South London, so finding this place locally has been amazing. It genuinely feels like a little taste of home without the long journey. The service is impeccable every single time — friendly, warm, and welcoming. The hut itself is tiny but always spotless, well organised, and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of pride goes into running this place. My only (very minor!) gripe is that there’s never quite enough coco bread for the patties — but honestly, that just tells you how popular they are. Absolutely love this place and will keep coming back. A real gem. ”

“ I was in the area recently and, being new around here, I was seriously craving some proper Jamaican food. After a bit of searching, I came across this amazing spot called Jamaican Food Prepared by Pam — and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I went with a friend, and we both ordered the rice and peas with oxtail (x2 because we weren’t playing ), and oh my God… the food was so good. The oxtail was perfectly seasoned, tender, and just falling off the bone. The rice and peas were cooked to perfection — full of flavour, not dry, just right. Every bite had me doing a little happy dance. Trust me when I say this: the food was so good, Jesus himself would approve! I genuinely haven’t enjoyed a meal like that in a long time. If you’re ever in the area and craving real Jamaican flavour, don’t sleep on Pam’s cooking. You’ll thank me later! ”
